Large corner room on the 2nd floor with an en suite bathroom. The bathroom is small, with a beautiful marble floor, marble vanity, garden-size soaking tub, wainscoting and stunning tropical floral wallpaper. The sculpted Oriental rug sets the stage for furnishings that include a queen size bed, and a very comfortable lounge chair in the corner that is perfect for reading or dozing off. Three of the pieces of art of reproductions of antique Persian prints, purchased in El Escorial, Portugal, and part of the innkeeper’s personal collection purchased on his own world travels. The walls are a soothing sea green. The pattern in the center of the valances is custom designed to match the dust ruffle. The windows overlook the back veranda and the garden. This room has access to both the upper front and back verandas from the second floor hallway, perfect for enjoying an evening aperitif or after dinner drink. Current room rates on reservation site.
