One of our most popular rooms, the headboard is an antique pediment from a front door in Washington D.C. The color scheme of the room is sophisticated and earthy, which perfectly compliments the original artwork and decorative fireplace. The decorative fireplace and the room trim are painted white. The Eastlake chair is set off with an unusual contemporary upholstery, and the custom valances match the dust ruffle. Enjoy the collection of Russian red lacquer ware, from the innkeeper’s travels, and the wallpaper border and bathroom wallpaper featuring maps – perfect for the world traveler. The bathroom also features custom wainscoting, marble floor and vanity, and a garden-size soaking tub. This third floor guest room is just steps from access to the cupola – the highest residential point in the city – with an intimate seating area and 360-degree view of historic Wilmington. The floor to ceiling French windows at either end of the third floor hallway lead to an external staircase. The room has 9-foot ceilings. Current room rates on reservation site.
